The Real Brokerage Inc., a publicly traded real estate brokerage rapidly expanding in recent years, has added celebrity broker Kofi Nartey to the company as a national growth leader. This move also includes incorporating Nartey’s Global RED team, which will continue to grow as part of The Real Brokerage. The partnership was announced via a press release on Business Wire.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Kofi to The Real Brokerage,” said Sharran Srivatsaa, President of The Real Brokerage, in the press release. “Kofi is one of the most successful brokers in the residential real estate industry and an inspirational leader who shares our vision at Real of leaving the industry better than it was.”
Real Estate is Kofi’s second career. He first achieved fame as a wide receiver for UC Berkeley’s football team before signing on with the then-Oakland Raiders. After retiring from professional football, Kofi signed on to a national brokerage where luxury real estate was his primary focus. His in-depth knowledge of the sports world has served him well in his real estate career, as he has helped two major real estate brands build their national sports and entertainment divisions. He has also recently worked as a consultant for the NFL, advising players on real estate deals and providing guidance on post-NFL life and careers.
In 2020, Kofi launched his independent brokerage, Global Real Estate and Development (Global RED), with great success. The 12-member team works with luxury clients in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York, as well as with developers on a global stage. Global RED was recently nominated as the DEI Small Company of the Year for the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2024 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Symposium and Awards.
The real estate community has long recognized Kofi’s gifted leadership. The Los Angeles Business Journal has listed him among their annual LA 500 three times, recognizing him as one of the most impactful leaders in LA. Kofi also works as an instructor for the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing. Kofi’s primary professional goal is to help his fellow agents expand their networks and achieve success.
“Real aligns with where I am in my career and my goal of giving back to the industry,” says Kofi in the press release from The Real Brokerage. “Real provides the platform, brand, and reach throughout the U.S. and Canada to allow me to share what I know to influence and impact more agents while continuing to grow my Globl RED team.”
“Like Kofi, Real is fixated on giving agents the tools they need to realize their full potential,” says President Srivatsaa, “While ensuring that they have opportunities to build long-term wealth.”
The Real Brokerage boasts more than 11,000 agents operating in 47 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and four Canadian provinces. The brokerage prides itself on its reach and unique cloud-based operating platform, which it claims can “improve efficiencies and empower agents to provide a seamless end-to-end experience for home buyers and sellers.” The company is continuing to add new agents.
