DLP Capital Launches Luxury RV Resort in North Florida
Private real estate investment and financial services firm DLP Capital has begun the construction of a luxury RV resort in North Florida named “Dream Outdoor Resort Callahan.” This resort is a component of DLP Capital’s larger plan to improve and reinvent the experience of staying at an RV park. The project includes many high-end features, such as a splash park, golf course, and cottages for rent for tiny homes.
The resort, strategically located in Callahan, 20 miles north of Jacksonville, is in the northeast corner of Florida, close to the Georgia border. Dream Outdoor Resort Callahan extends 265 acres and will host 397 pads, comprising both back-in and pull-through sites. The resort aims to capitalize on the growing popularity of the luxury RV sector, a trend fueled by more than 11.2 million households in the US now owning an RV.
DLP Capital’s founder and CEO, Don Wenner, expressed excitement for the luxury RV resort market, pointing to its substantial unrealized potential. Wenner predicts that the industry will continue to expand as more and more Americans come to appreciate the traditional road trip experience in addition to the outdoor family adventures and contemporary amenities offered by resorts like Dream Outdoor Resorts.
High-End Amenities and Sustainable Features at Dream Outdoor Resort
The featured amenity is the golf course, incorporating synthetic grass for tee boxes and greens, aligning with the industry’s trend towards water conservation in golf course design. The driving range also includes video technology to help golfers improve their swing.
Apart from the golf course, the resort offers water-based recreational opportunities with its splash park, which includes a lazy river and “mushroom” springs. Among the many other features of the resort are a dog park, wash station, mini-golf, arcade, pickleball courts, restaurant, tiki bar, and pool.
Fifty-three tiny home cottage rentals cater to the expanding market interested in simplified living experiences. These cottages offer a taste of minimalist living amidst the lush subtropical beauty surrounding the resort. Pets and ADA accessibility are also available. A multibillion-dollar industry is emerging around tiny homes as Americans look for ways to live more simply and leave less of an environmental impact.
Dream Outdoor Resort is ideally situated amid verdant wetland preserves and breathtaking subtropical scenery. The resort’s proximity to I-95 and various outdoor recreation areas, including Amelia Island, Fort Clinch State Park, Big Talbot State Park, and others, makes it a desirable destination for individuals looking for a variety of activities, such as hiking, biking, boating, fishing, and bird watching.
DLP Capital’s Dream Outdoor Resorts collection includes Ocala North RV Resort, located 90 miles northwest of Orlando, and Island Oaks RV Resort in Glen St. Mary, near Jacksonville. Each resort offers a unique blend of amenities, catering to the evolving preferences of the modern traveler.
